Tungsten Automation has recently released an Advanced OCR Engine option for AP Essentials and InvoiceAgility. In this tech tip, we’ll introduce the Advanced OCR Engine and guide you through the simple steps to enable this advanced OCR Engine to improve your OCR accuracy and results.

Step-by-Step Guide: Enabling Advanced OCR

Activating the Advanced OCR Engine is a straightforward process. Here is how to do it:

Step 1: Access the Admin Center

Log in to your Tungsten AP Essentials Admin Center using your administrator credentials.

Step 2: Navigate to Extraction Service Settings

• Go to the  Account -> Services -> Select Extraction
• Click the Edit button to access the configuration options
  
  
  

Step 3: Select the Advanced Engine

• In the General Tab -> Extraction Engine you will see both OCR engine options in the dropdown menu
• Select Advanced Engine

Step 4: Save and Apply Changes

• Click "Save" to confirm your selection
• The system immediately begins using the Advanced OCR Engine for all new documents imported into AP Essentials
