The much-anticipated Service Pack 1 for Tungsten Automation (Formerly Kofax) TotalAgility 8.0 has been released. In this blog, we'll take a high-level overview of what's new and improved with a closer look at the AI advancements included in the release.
We'll also explore a few benefits of TotalAgility 8.0, including how it can streamline processes, decrease development time, and enhance your overall experience. All this is aimed at helping you realize the full potential of your Tungsten Automation TotalAgility Platform. Official release notes from Tungsten Automation can be found here.
The new “Add Auto Extract field” method is now available in the TotalAgility Quick Capture. Auto Extract Field uses a Large Language Model (LLM) to automatically extract key-value pairs from documents without the need for any additional configuration, scripts, or training. Multiple Auto Extract fields can be added to a single document, allowing for use with suggested and lassoed fields.
The same functionality is available as the "Auto Extract Locator" in the Transformation Designer.
The Copilot for Extraction now supports either Open AI ChatGPT or Microsoft Azure Open AI as the provider. This allows users to describe what they want to extract from a document in natural language, handling different variations in documents, layouts, and languages.
Watch the Copilot for Extraction in action from David Sentongo, Product Strategist from Tungsten Automation:
Copilot’s Generative AI activity, chat control, action, and Quick Workflow solution have been updated to include a new source format – “Text”. This enhancement allows users to provide text to Copilot, instead of an image, when using AI features. The text is delivered to the AI provider in an optimized sequence.
But what’s the real game-changer here? It’s the way Copilot handles documents with layout text. Think of fixed forms and semi-structured documents like invoices, purchase orders, or registration forms. With this update, Copilot can extract and utilize the text from these documents, often achieving superior results compared to using a Custom LLM provider.
TotalAgility now supports OAuth clients, representing an external application that accesses TotalAgility REST APIs using OAuth authorization.
